Hi! My name's Jim. I am one of your local State Farm agents. The Ely family has been providing Insurance and Financial services for over 60 years.

I graduated with the class of 1979 here in Jersey Shore. I continued my education by earning my Associate degree in Business Management from WACC. Then earned my Bachelor degree from Penn State. "WE ARE". My background has been in marketing and customer service. I returned to Jersey Shore in 1991 to start a family because I wanted my children to experience the beauty of the area and to be closer to my family. My family consist of my wife and two daughters a cat and dog.

My work experience has included bartender, labor for UPS, marketing for AAA, marketing staff for Bon-Ton Dept store and marketing for an independent gift ware and home furnishing company.

I have been involved in the community since being back. I am a past member of the Kiwanis Club. Currently chairman of the Community Housing and Development Corp. member of the Community Advisory Board for the Hospital and support the school district at different levels.

In my free time I enjoy all outdoor activities, Hiking, biking, kayaking, skiing, camping, gardening. I also love to cook and volunteer.
